How To Make Cooked Chickpeas
You’ll never grab a can of chickpeas again. This recipe is so easy and much better for you than the canned variety.
Once you know how to cook these legumes you can whip up our Hummus, Chickpea Layered Salad and Warm Chickpea Salad. Yeew!

- 1 cup dried chickpeas
- 1 litre of chicken stock (or vegetable stock)
- small bunch of thyme
- pinch of peppercorns
- 1 clove garlic
- Soak chickpeas in water for at least 12 hours. Drain.
- Add chickpeas to a medium saucepan. Add remaning ingredients. Place over medium heat and bring to a slow simmer. Cook for about 30 minutes, or until tender.
