Serves 2-4
Ingredients
- 2 firm pears
- 250ml water
- 250ml honey
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 vanilla bean
- 1 star anise
- 1 clove
Method
- Add all ingredients to a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer.
- Meanwhile, peel pears and chop top and bottom of pear off and discard. Chop pears into quarters.
- Add pears to syrup. Pop on lid and simmer on a medium to low heat for about 20-25 minutes, or until tender.
- Cool pears in syrup.
