There is no two ways about it – this recipe is going to knock your socks off, and not in the way I would suggest with our other recipes! With the strong lemon and ginger infusion its a strong brew – but then add the fennel seed, turmeric and cayenne pepper and this tonic will clean house!

If you’re feeling a bit under the weather hits this one up.

500ml of water

1 lemon

2cm cube of ginger

1 tsp fennel seeds

1 tsp ground turmeric

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

1 tbsp coconut oil

1 tbsp honey

  • pour your water into a pot on medium heat
  • slice you lemon and ginger finely and add to pot
  • next add your fennel, turmeric and cayenne pepper
  • as the oils begin to release spoon in your coconut oil and honey
  • bring to the boil.

That’s it. But let me warn you this is not like come of our other recipes – this one is going to really…clear you out!

Enjoy – and stay healthy!

Awesome remedy for the summer cold. I used sliced raw turmeric from what I already had in the house, the result knocked out my cold and sent me back to the water. Thank you GUY!

As a beekeeper, I’d recommend that you wait to add your honey until the mixture cools down – it will still dissolve at room temp. Exposing raw honey to heat destroys most of the live enzymes and other healing properties. Can’t wait to make this! 🙂

Hi ! It looks awesome, I’ll try it today ^^

I’ve got a recipe which I use for the same purpose, my friends introduced me to “The Seven Thieves’ Vinegar”

I don’t know if the storiy that come with that is true but it’s quite effective

    You’ll need : between 500ml to 750ml of water – 5-6 cloves – 1 bay leaf – 1 cinnamon stick – 4 pinches of thyme – a bit of sage – Half a lemon and honey to sweeten it

Bring the water to a simmer and and everything except for the honey. Let it simmer for 5 minutes then, of the, heat, and let that infuse until the infusion gets to a red color. Then you add the honey.

It’s a bit strong but the honey really helps.

Thanks again for the recipe, got to go shopping ^^
